Our story

From Plant Manager to Pet Parent

Hi, I’m Christina, the founder of CoPUPco LLC. Most recently, I’m working as a Plant Manager in the chemical industry, a role I came to after starting as a chemical engineer over 20 years ago. While the world of chemical manufacturing might seem a long way from dog treats, my background has given me an eye for precision, a deep understanding of ingredients, and a commitment to quality control.

Beyond my professional life, I’ve always had a passion for creating things at home. I’ve spent years making my own body butters, deodorants, and lip balms to give to friends and family. I love the process of taking simple ingredients and turning them into something special and useful. This love for crafting also extends to my kitchen; I’ve always enjoyed cooking for the people I care about.

And that list recently grew to include my best friend, Coco.

Inspiration Behind CoPUPco: Meet Coco

I’m a recent pet parent to a Portuguese Water Dog named Coco, and from the moment he came home, we started training. Like most dogs, Coco loved his treats, but after a while, I noticed that the treats with long, complicated ingredient lists weren’t sitting well with his tummy.

As a chemical engineer and a dedicated pet parent, I decided to do some digging. I wanted to find a better way to reward Coco—with healthy, minimal-ingredient treats that he would love and that wouldn’t upset his stomach. After a lot of trial and error in my own kitchen, I finally perfected a few recipes that worked perfectly.

Coco’s absolute favorite is our beef liver treat, and that’s where we’re starting.

Our promise to you

At CoPUPco, we’re dedicated to making healthy, minimal-ingredient treats that you can feel good about giving to your dog. We believe in transparency, and you can trust that we will only use ingredients that we’d give to our own dogs.

We’re starting with Coco’s go-to flavor, beef liver, and will be rolling out additional flavors in the coming months. We can’t wait for your dog to fall in love with them, too.
